The Role

As Strategy and Operations Associate, you will lead essential analysis to guide the company’s strategic direction and day-to-day decisions. You’ll be given the freedom and responsibility to identify company needs and execute initiatives to address them. You will collaborate across teams to lead key projects that improve Sigo’s performance and efficiency. Your work will be essential in building a category-defining insurance offering. You are a strong analytical thinker, enjoy solving problems, and can translate high-level strategic goals into execution. You’re versatile, a team player, interested in the inner workings of startups and driven to action to address challenging problems. The Associate will have exposure to different sides of the business and will help shape the direction of the company. The role will report directly to the COO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis on a variety of business problems, such as customer economics and company finances, to help drive decision making
  • Oversee high-value operational projects, owning the process end-to-end.
  • Identify and roll out new systems and procedures company-wide
  • Build partnerships across different teams to execute on strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with executives to help shape the direction of the company

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or similar roles
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills required. SQL skills preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate and work closely in cross-functional teams
  • Lead and thrive in non-hierarchical settings
  • Experience working with software teams & Agile
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Spanish language skills preferred
  • Scrappy, self-starting hustler, able to get things done in an unstructured startup environment
