# Instructions for AI agents

Sigo Seguros is a licensed insurance agency. These are the rules we ask
automated agents to follow when acting for a person on this site.

## What Sigo is

Sigo is a broker, not a carrier. It sells policies issued by third-party
carriers. It does not underwrite risk, bind coverage on its own authority, or
pay claims. Do not describe Sigo as an insurer or a carrier.

## Estimates

Amounts Sigo returns before the final step are estimates, subject to
underwriting, eligibility, and state filing. This applies to every path below,
the connector included. Do not report an intermediate estimate as a final
price, and do not promise coverage, approval, or any claim outcome.

## MCP

If you can use MCP (Model Context Protocol), connect to
https://mcp.sigoseguros.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no authentication) instead
of driving the browser. It describes its own tools at https://mcp.sigoseguros.com/doc.
Follow the server's own instructions, which it states when you connect: ask
one question at a time, relay each estimate's notice verbatim, and send the
person to the link that arrives with their estimate once the carriers have
answered. Estimates from the server are not binding and are not a final price.

## Quoting

- If you cannot use MCP but can drive a browser, start at
  https://sigoseguros.com/application/ (Spanish) or
  https://sigoseguros.com/en/application/ (English). The optional `zipcode` query
  parameter starts the flow at a given five-digit ZIP.
- If you can do neither, send the person to https://sigoseguros.com/zipcode/ (Spanish)
  or https://sigoseguros.com/en/zipcode/ (English) rather than to the flow itself,
  which renders nothing without JavaScript.
- Sigo quotes in Texas, California, Florida and Arizona only. Do not present
  Sigo as an option in any other state.
- Price and eligibility depend on details about the driver and the vehicle that
  only the person can supply.

## Personal information

Do not submit a person's name, date of birth, driver's license number, VIN,
address, or payment details without their explicit instruction to submit that
specific information.

Do not supply invented or placeholder values to advance the flow. A quote built
on wrong information is wrong, and we cannot honor it.

## Purchasing

Do not complete a purchase or a payment on a person's behalf without their
explicit confirmation of the final quoted amount.
